Education
Brett W. Tweedel graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre. In 2005, he was awarded his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans. While completing his legal curriculum, Mr. Tweedel was selected to be a member of Loyola’s prestigious Moot Court program, and as a student faculty member, taught in the Moot Court program. In addition, he served as the Managing/Print Editor of Loyola’s Maritime Law Journal; and was a member of Loyola’s ATLA program-competing on their National Criminal Defense Team.
Narrative
Mr. Tweedel was born in Slidell, La., but raised in Atlanta, Ga. He returned to Louisiana and attended Louisiana State University. While there, he was on the Dean’s List and active in their theatre program. Additionally, he spent a year abroad studying in England and traveling around Europe. While at Loyola Law School, he had the opportunity to study International law in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Prior to joining Blue Williams in October 2006, Mr. Tweedel was a law clerk in the 40th JDC.

Mr. Tweedel is admitted to practice before all state courts in Louisiana. He is also admitted to practice in all Federal Courts in Louisiana. Additionally, he is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
