Education
Mr. Conrad attended U.C. Berkeley, majoring in Rhetoric, from 1983-1985 before transferring to Tulane University, where he graduated with a B.A. in Language, Writing and Rhetoric, in 1987. Thereafter, he attended Loyola University of New Orleans’ law school. During his senior year of law school, Mr. Conrad took a fall semester internship in the Municipal Prosecutor’s Office in Anchorage, Alaska, prosecuting DWI, prostitution, shoplifting, domestic battery, and suspended driver’s license offenders. He then graduated law school in December, 1990, and was licensed to practice law by the Louisiana Supreme Court in 1991.
Narrative
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Conrad served as a law clerk on the personal staff of Chief Judge Morris A. Lottinger, Jr. (Ret.), of the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal. Upon completion of his clerkship, he then engaged in plaintiff appellate, medical malpractice, and civil rights (employment discrimination and excessive use of police force) litigation with J. Minos Simon in Lafayette, Louisiana. Thereafter, since 1995, he has been exclusively engaged in defense litigation in the areas of physician and hospital medical malpractice, appellate practice, workers’ compensation defense, and complex property litigation, including partition actions and mold damage claims. He joined Blue Williams’ Mandeville office in 2007 to continue practice in these areas as Of Counsel.

Mr. Conrad is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, and is admitted to practice before all federal district courts in Louisiana. He served as Secretary of the Terrebonne Parish Bar Association from 1999-2000, and remains a member of that association as well as the Lafourche Parish Bar Association. He is a member of the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans, and from 2003-2006 served as the Committee Chairman and a den leader in Cub Scout Pack 330 at St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
