Education
Mr. Grace earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. Mr. Grace was awarded a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law in 2000. He received two Loyola University Law Excellence Awards and was the recipient of the prestigious Daniel S. Hermann Award.
Narrative
Mr. Grace was born and raised in the New Orleans area. He worked as a writer and editor for the local newspaper in New Orleans while earning his law degree. After working as a solo practitioner for two years, Mr. Grace joined Blue Williams as an associate in May 2002. In December 2006, he was elected partner at Blue Williams.
Mr. Grace has successfully argued at the state district and appellate court levels. Mr. Grace’s reported cases include Leaming v. Century Vina, Inc., 908 So.2d 21 (La. App. 4th Cir. 6/11/05) and Peralta v. Perazzo, et al., – So.2d –, 2006 WL 3094055 (La. App. 5th Cir. 10/31/06). He has also successfully argued in Federal Court in Louisiana. He has first – chair bench trial and jury trial experience in general casualty, medical malpractice and asbestos litigation. Mr. Grace was awarded the highest peer-review rating available to an attorney practicing from six to nine years by Martindale-Hubbel.
Mr. Grace has authored several articles regarding developments in Louisiana case and procedural law. Mr. Grace recently co-authored, along with fellow Blue Williams attorney Erin H. Boyd, the article “The Fourth Circuit Clarifies Issues of Proof” regarding the plaintiff’s burden of proof in proving negligence in an asbestos claim.
Mr. Grace, his wife Sheila, and their five children reside in Metairie. The Graces are active with their church and school, St. Philip Neri. Mr. Grace also serves as a volunteer coach for his children’s athletic teams. In addition, Mr. Grace coordinates the firm's Pro Bono efforts.

Mr. Grace is admitted to practice before all state courts in Louisiana and all Federal Courts in Louisiana. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Jefferson Bar Association, and is the former Chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Jefferson Bar Association. Mr. Grace is also a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.
