Narrative
Mr. Williams’ practice is devoted to major commercial and civil litigation, particularly in the areas of medical malpractice, general health-care law, constitutional law, business litigation and mediation. He has handled numerous reported cases. He has promulgated and assisted in passage of remedial legislation in the health-care industry and in the general casualty industry. He has been responsible for passage of several statutes relating to retail merchants. He has handled numerous cases in all appellate circuits in the State of Louisiana and also before the Louisiana Supreme Court. Mr. Williams has represented health-care clients in hospital, medical, corporate and peer review matters during the past several years, including contracts negotiations, practice acquisitions, credentialling, peer review, disciplinary hearings, revision of corporate and medical staff constitutions and by-laws, consent forms and policy and procedure manuals.

Mr. Williams is admitted to practice in all Louisiana City, Parish, District and Appellate Courts, including the Louisiana Supreme Court, since 1964, United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, United States Courts of Appeal, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Williams is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, Federal Bar Association, American Bar Association, Jefferson Parish Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, the Greater Covington Bar Association and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. Mr. Williams’ other professional affiliations include Maritime Law Association, Louisiana Hospital Association, Louisiana Retailers Association, Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, American Academy of Healthcare Attorneys, American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics, and the National Health Lawyers Association. Mr. Williams has been a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association since 1964, and is a Founding Fellow of the Louisiana Bar Foundation. He has served on the House of Delegates of the Louisiana State Bar Association 1986-1999. He was appointed to the Louisiana Association Defense Counsel Board of Directors in 1999.
C.T. Williams’ civic and community activities include membership on the Board of Directors for the St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce, Delgado Community College Northshore Campus Advisory Board, Northshore Business Council, Causeway Police Charitable Foundation Board of Directors and numerous other civic and charitable activities in St. Tammany Parish. Mr. Williams holds an A/V® Peer Review Rated certification mark from Martindale-Hubbell.
