Education
Mr. Baudouin graduated from Jesuit High School in 1977, received a Bachelor of Arts in 1981 from Tulane University, where he was awarded Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors and received his Juris Doctorate from The Tulane University School of Law in 1984. In 1993, he completed training in alternative dispute resolution through the American Arbitration Association. He is also a fellow of the Loyola University Institute of Politics.
Narrative
Mr. Baudouin’s practice is devoted to civil litigation, primarily in the areas of health care, banking, commercial and contract litigation, and insurance law including general casualty and credit life and disability. He has represented parties in complex litigation including construction cases involving the professional liability of engineers and architects as well as workmanship claims against contractors and sub-contractors. He has defended class actions including one against the manufacturer of pedicle screws and another involving ad valorem tax issues arising out of the sale of automobiles. He is currently defending Tenet Memorial Medical Center in connection with all Katrina related personal injury and class action litigation. He has represented Washington Mutual Bank, Union Security Life Insurance Company, American Security Insurance Company, Everest National Insurance Company, Fleet Mortgage Group, Inc., all Tenet owned hospitals in metropolitan New Orleans, Touro Infirmary, Commercial Union Insurance Company, TransAmerica Insurance Group and St. Paul Fire/Travelers Insurance Company as well as other large insurers and self-insured corporations.

Mr. Baudouin is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute. He is admitted to practice in all State and Federal courts in Louisiana. Mr. Baudouin was also a contributing writer for the Louisiana Political Review from 1991 to 1993. Mr. Baudouin holds an B/V® Peer Review Rated certification mark from Martindale-Hubbell.
