The firm maintains a challenging Summer Associate Program. Though we do make lateral hires, several of whom have made partner, we use the Summer Associate Program as the principle method of recruiting new attorneys. Most of the firm’s current partners began their careers as law clerks at Blue Williams. We provide our summer associates with a realistic view of the practice of law. A partner is assigned to oversee the Summer Associate Program, however, our summer associates are not limited to working for specific sections. Instead, the clerks are exposed to and work with many attorneys at Blue Williams. Our summer associates are exposed to the day-to-day practices of the firm’s attorneys, including attending depositions, hearings, motions and trials. The firm also sponsors several informal social functions which helps to introduce the summer associates to all attorneys of Blue Williams.
