Wills and Trusts
The attorneys in our estate planning section hold LL.M. degrees in taxation and prepare wills, living wills, powers of attorney, special needs trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and related estate planning documents. The overwhelming majority of people need a will, living will and power of attorney regardless of their age. A young couple may need to go through this process in order to appoint guardians for their minor children and to establish testamentary trusts in order to protect the assets that they have worked so diligently to protect. An older client may need to do this in order to save on estate taxes and to make sure that they decide who will receive their assets rather than letting the state decide. For the most basic planning documents, the client will only need to commit three hours of their time to make sure they have peace of mind that everyone was provided for in the event of their ultimate demise.
