Admiralty/Maritime

Our Admiralty/Maritime Section represents clients engaged in domestic and international shipping, ship building and repair, stevedoring, and offshore drilling and production. We also represent various underwriters of the risks inherent in these activities.

Blue Williams’ lawyers advise clients on bills of lading and other related matters, such as cargo damage claims, stevedoring, and terminal operations. Our litigators handle disputes involving collisions, salvage and wreck removal, claims for environmental damage, and limitation of liability actions. The firm’s Admiralty/Maritime Section also provides marine insurance coverage evaluation and contract and charter drafting and negotiating. To the extent litigation arises, our litigators are experienced in and prepared to handle such matters.

We understand that the nature of the industry often requires availability outside of regular business hours. To address these needs, our attorneys maintain an on-call system 24 hours a day, seven days per week.
