Estate Planning

The lawyers of our Estate Planning Section assist clients with sensitive decisions relating to the ultimate disposition of personal assets, including family businesses. Our Estate Planning attorneys service clients in multi-generational business planning, wills, trusts, successions, S corporations, limited liability companies, buy/sell agreements, irrevocable life insurance trusts, business successions and acquisitions, charitable remainder trusts and family limited partnerships. In addition to implementing an Estate Plan that properly and effectively distributes assets, the plan is also geared to minimize taxes at both the federal and state level.

In addition to dealing with the transfer of property at death, our attorneys assist clients in planning for lifetime conservation and management of assets and planning for possible illness or incapacity.

Following death, our services include drafting all documents required by the Court to transfer assets, preparing the appropriate estate tax and fiduciary income tax returns and accountings, and overseeing the entire probate process.  Our objective is to provide expert advice to the family on a professional, personal and timely basis.
